Loriann received her Bachelor of Arts in Management and Organizational Communications from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego and her Master of Arts degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Additionally, she studied American Sign Language and has work experience as a sign language interpreter for the deaf. Loriann gained cross-cultural experience through her previous work for the non-profit organization, World Vision International, including two overseas relief response deployments and travel that brought her to 23 countries.

Her passion for language and connecting with people is what led her to pursue a career in speech-language pathology. Loriann has worked for Children's Hospital Colorado as well as in private practice and early intervention settings. Loriann is now the owner and CEO for Arise Therapies and its sister company in Franklin, Rise Up Therapies.

Loriann has particular expertise with treating patients with hearing loss, cleft lip and palate, apraxia, and voice disorders. She has her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in Tennessee. She is certified in the Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT-LOUD).

Outside of work, Loriann and her husband Brian enjoy time with their two young children and their dog Luna.
